One Activity

Fresh Art sessions are led by a volunteer professional artist who has worked with similar groups and is very encouraging and empowering. These sessions also help to alleviate social isolation and fuel poverty by providing a warm, safe, and friendly space to meet. This activity was run in response to requests from our previous participants for this to continue.

Many Participants

These sessions are an opportunity for the parents and guardians to learn new creative skills while meeting and chatting without their children in an informal and warm atmosphere.  They can enjoy a hot drink and lunch together while building friendships, which addresses social isolation and therefore strengthens community.

Friendships have developed both within the group and outside as participants enjoyed the company and encouragement of each other.

Over the course of the year, this activity has really strengthened our team of volunteers. Trust and support between volunteers increased and this enhanced the atmosphere at the centre.
