We believe that if you build family, you build community
​When we experience a fresh start in our own lives, we are empowered to bring transformation into our households and then outwards into our community.

This belief is evidenced by research which shows that relationships and social capital are essential to thriving families and communities.

Our families testify to the difference that the support given at Fresh Start has helped them to make in their lives.

We do this through the activities that we offer at the Fresh Start Community Centre.

From our position of positive relationships, our mission is to strengthen the capacity of others. We look to equip our families for competent citizenship and to build social capital. This operates within our frame of community cohesion to enable each individual to invest their unique characteristics and skills into their family and community for the benefit of all, from a position of security and growing confidence. We connect with the heart, rather than the label, of each individual who comes to us. This creates the foundation of our equality policy (no bias of gender, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation or social economic status). This brings community cohesion at its best!
