Empowerment Course

One Activity

Empowerment Course - Many of the users of our activities want to see positive changes in their situations and circumstances and have identified that they would appreciate help to see these changes come about.

T
his course is one session a week for 6 to 8 weeks and is run by one of the founders and the Project Manager. The participants meet and share lunch together prior to the teaching sessions.

The aims of the course are to empower the participants and help them develop their relationships.  It enables them to realise they are unique, special and of value as an individual. It brings awareness to each individual regarding who they are and why think and respond the way that they do.  This awareness provides a springboard to move forwards and develop new patterns of thinking and responding. This is achieved by giving practical information on how to recognise and change negative thought patterns and for participants to realise the potential they have.

It is based on leadership material that the founder teaches on in various settings. Teaching is given on self-regard, self-awareness, regard for others and awareness of others, which develops empathy and inter- personal communication.

Many Participants

In the past, this course has benefited individuals from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

The teaching sessions bring an understanding that each individual has value regardless of their past.  It generates confidence in each participant to be themselves while being aware of the opinions and beliefs of others. They can operate in their own identity and not be defined by what others think of them.   The individual’s confidence increases as they become able to release their voice.  The participants are encouraged to practically apply the information received; this is achieved by completing tasks at home.
