What We DoThe charity offers support for individuals and families who desire to help themselves.
We run regular activities and provide mentoring that create equality among all, regardless of ability, faith, gender, race, political persuasion, sexual orientation or other personal differences. In this way we provide an even playing field where everyone’s strengths are built upon for their destiny and purpose. This creates an atmosphere of positivity, in which the most challenging behaviour can be managed and which has a significant effect on the individuals it touches. We work within areas of confidence building, increasing the ability to build healthy relationships. We address issues of poverty, addiction, isolation, stress, anger management and parenting challenges by illuminating our understanding of the personal thought processes and past experiences that lead us to perceive and respond to situations in particular ways. All our activities focus on empowering families, which directly benefits the parents, children and young people in our community. This strengthens the communities that the individuals and families are based in. As a result of this intentional equipping our projects develop self-esteem, resilience and relationships of those we work with. We provide a safe place for families to connect and build their community, all undergirded with the celebration of British values, with the appreciation of ethnicity and culture of our clients. PersonnelAll these activities are run by our Project Manager with the help of volunteers. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the families and she ensures that everything we do in each activity is aimed at enabling and empowering families.
The Founders and Trustees continue to steer Fresh Start according to our governing document. |
