VolunteersFresh Start is supported by many volunteers who have helped to make our work possible. They carry out a variety of essential roles including support of learning, setting up, cooking, cleaning, transport and training.
Our volunteers are integral to creating the supportive atmosphere that fosters the family values on which Fresh Start is founded. Their valuable contributions have helped us develop our centre and also helps to demonstrate a practical illustration of family, which permeates our organisation. |
TrainingTraining and mentoring are given to the Trustees, Project Manager and the Volunteers through our partnership with Impetus Cognitive Learning.
In addition, all volunteers are given training both as part of their induction and where appropriate in other areas of responsibility, such as First Aid, Food Hygiene, etc. Feedback"Over the six years I’ve had the privilege to volunteer at Fresh Start, I’ve witnessed strengthening of social bonds within the community and transformed lives. The focus on the integral role of families as building blocks of society truly promotes competent citizenship and edifies each person to realise their purpose in pursuit of a meaningful objective. The annually run training programme for volunteers is meticulously run and communicated the organisation’s vision, its underlying ethos and concepts within developmental psychology that enabled me to understand what building social capital looks like at a practical level."
