One ActivityIn partnership with Earwig Productions, who provide us with a drama teacher, we are able to run our Drama Workshops again this autumn. The first half term is for children who are at secondary school, the second part of the term will be for those at Primary School. The sessions will continue into 2022.

Many ParticipantsThe Drama workshops give the children opportunity to learn new skills, discover new talents and strengths, and a chance to step out of their comfort zones. In these sessions they grow in confidence, learn to appreciate one another and value each other’s contributions regardless of their opinions or beliefs, acknowledging everyone’s contribution is valuable.
The children have enjoyed the first few sessions and are embracing the opportunity to learn more about drama, song writing and the theatre. In previous years, many of the children from Fresh Start have also been able to attend Earwig Productions, Summer School, this was made possible due to a generous subsidy. Attending the summer school not only reinforced what they had learnt previously at the Drama Workshops at Fresh Start, but it also allows those attending the opportunity to enlarge their life vision, raising aspirations and improving outcomes. |
Feedback"The drama workshops that kids club ran were brilliant. They were very relaxed and the children really looked forward to them. My kids are fairly shy and with the gentle encouragement that was offered in the workshops they were able to experience the pleasure of performing without the anxiety that they usually had. As a parent it was wonderful to see their quiet confidence grow and their pleasure of sharing in this way. Thank you kids club for all you do!!"
